Paddle to the Sea by Holling Clancy Holling - 1946
Ages (9 - 12)
A boy carves a wooden model of an Indian in a canoe and after placing it in Canada’s Lake Nipigon, the water takes the canoe on a journey through the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River, eventually ending in the Atlantic Ocean. Holling embraces a sense of wonder when the canoe is discovered as it travels down along its natural pathway.
